Autumn Shears 2003

One of NZ's most formidable sheep shearing competitions has folded for want of volunteers. Northern Shears, which has been held in the Warkworth Town Hall every April for 16 years, will not be held in 2004. This was the event which for 16 years attracted world champion David Fagan, winner of NZ's highest competition shearing acclaim and his keenest rivals to Rodney because of the standard of its organisation, its sponsorhip and its prizes.
