Little Barrier Island hits you in
the eye like a big pizza pie. Driving out to my studio on the Matakana Road,
the Island's rugged contours loom ahead in the distance. From the front gate
as you walk the path to the studio, the Island sets a pleasant scene. As you
explore the area further, Leigh, Omaha Beach, Tawharanui Regional Park; the
Island is a prominent landmark.
